Easy Cute Girl's Headbands

Hey there! I hope it has been a wonderful week for you so far! Even though I am having a little boy my SIL is having a little girl! So I thought I would make these simple adorable headbands for my niece. Isn't there something special about receiving things that are made by a special friend or family? Those pieces in my house are my favorite! Look at these two yellow flowered bands. I paid $0.30 fora bag of these flowers on ebay.com.

This band is a must because my SIL and family live in my hometown, and the high school colors are red, black, and white! Also, it represents the Nebraska Huskers! Go Big Red!

These two bands are my favorite because of the delicate little flowers with cute little buttons. Don't you just love buttons?!
These gold pieces are a simple flare to these bands.
Now I don't know if you are like me, but sometimes when I'm in my "crafty land" doing my "crafty things" I can go that funky mile. That's what happened to these sets of bands!

Thanks for stopping by! God's blessing to you and yours! Xoxoxo

The Burp Towel That Keeps On Burping

Hey everybody! So I got a rather large burp towel at a garage sale for $0.25! Not a bad deal by itself! I was folding and putting it away in the nursery and thought, lets make this baby into some more!
I folded and cut into three equal parts.

Once I had the three equal parts, heat up that iron and iron 1/4" of the edge to the wrong side of the fabric. I did this to all three pieces to all sides.

Then I flipped the switch to the sewing machine, and sewed the edges down.

Alright! After ironing the three of them were ironed flat and pretty, I put them away in the nursery! I love more for less!
God's blessing to you and yours!

This Is Only The Beginning!

Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! This post is my very first and exciting, creative, fun ones to come. Let me introduce myself and what you will find here at Loving This Home. My name is Whitney and above all I am a follower of Christ. He is my rock, savior, my everything! My life is to be His disciple and follow Him. Next, I am a wife to a wonderful man who is a soldier in the U.S. Army. And we are expecting our first child! Bring on the Mommy title! I also am a mother to a fur baby, Jack Sparrow, our cat.
Now on to Loving This Home! Anyone who truly knows me knows that I am a thrifty shopping queen. Sometimes I think I could get my own reality TV. show about being so frugal! I get the biggest satisfaction on achieving a craft, meal, wardrobe piece, or anything else on a dime. I love creating things for my family and house that makes it a home. In the Bible, chapter 31 of the book of Proverbs describes the virtuous woman. This blog will chart my journey as I strive to be this woman, mother, wife, and steward. I hope you stick with me and have fun along the way! God's blessing to you and yours!
